"Gettysburg, what an unbelievable battle that was. The Battle of Gettysburg, what an unbelievable, I mean it was so much, and so interesting, and so vicious and horrible, and so beautiful in so many different ways. It represented such a big portion of the success of this country. Gettysburg, wow. I go to "Gettysburg Pennsylvania, to look and to watch, and the statement of Robert E. Lee, who's no longer in favor, did you ever notice that? No longer in favor, 'never fight uphill me boys, never fight uphill.' They were fighting uphill. He said, 'wow! that was a big mistake.' He lost his great general, and uh they were fighting, 'never fight uphill me boys,' but it was too late." -Donald Trump.
Here's my challenge to everyone. Try to read that whole thing, try to get through all of it, without laughing. I almost did it. I got to "wow! that was a big mistake!" before losing it.
For the record, Robert E. Lee absolutely did not say, "never fight uphill me boys, never fight uphill," or anything remotely approximating that.
However, I see a real opportunity here. "MAGA" is a lame campaign slogan. I think the official Trump Campaign slogan should be, "never fight uphill me boys." We can abbreviate this to "NFUMB" (and pronounce it N-Fumb) if we like, but that should be the campaign slogan.
